Strong Regional and Community Focus for Haier Pulse in 2014

The Haier Pulse home draw for the 2014 ANZ Championship has a distinct regional feel, with games in Napier and Palmerston North, two at Wellington’s TSB Arena and two more at Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua, the home of the Haier Pulse.

The season begins with the exciting prospect of a visit to Te Rauparaha by the 2013 champions, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, before the action moves down SH1 for a game against the Southern Steel the following week at the TSB Arena. Pettigrew Green Arena, Napier, hosts the Tactix in Round 4, before a run of three away games and the bye falling during Easter weekend in Round 8.

Rounds 9 and 10 see another two consecutive home games, with the Haier Pulse playing the Melbourne Vixens and Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic at TSB Arena and Te Rauparaha respectively. The team’s final chance to play in front of their passionate supporters will be on Saturday 18 May, when the Mystics are the visitors to Arena Manawatu.

Haier Pulse and Netball Central Zone Chairman, Ian Collier, said the regional games would enable the squad to spend more time with young players and supporters from those areas, which was key for the future development of netball throughout the lower north island.

“A strong regional focus is a key element in Netball Central’s strategy and we have enjoyed tremendous support every time we have taken games on the road,” he explained.

“With Netball Central Zone lead centres based in both Napier and Palmerston North, bringing ANZ Championship games to these cities will be the highlight of the regional development and community programmes taking place throughout the season.”

Tickets are expected to be in short supply for all Haier Pulse home games next year and Collier urged supporters to plan ahead or risk disappointment.

“Haier Pulse season memberships will be going on sale in September, giving supporters the opportunity to secure their seat for all home games. Following the incredible demand for Haier Pulse tickets over the last two years, plus the prospect of another successful campaign, we are anticipating that all of our home games will sell out well in advance. The clear message to our supporters is to buy a season membership to avoid missing out altogether.”

The Haier Pulse enjoyed a sell-out 2013 season, with record season membership numbers, so a Haier Pulse Club Membership is now the only way to guarantee a seat to the 2014 home games. Be the first to receive 2014 Haier Pulse Club Membership information by joining www.facebook.com/Haier.Pulse
