Precious Early Learning - Botany Town Centre’s 'Baby & Me'

Precious Early Learning with Botany Town Centre’s ‘Baby & Me’

In light of the latest addition to the Royal family, local parents and royalists alike can get together at Botany Town Centre’s upcoming Baby & Me event and talk about the trials and tribulations of parenthood, knowing all too well that on the other side of the world the down-to-earth Duchess of Cambridge has it all to look forward to!

Botany Town Centre is excited to host a Baby & Me coffee group this coming Wednesday 31 July, 2013 at 10:30am on Sunset Terrace, opposite Hoyts Cinema. As well as enjoying a delicious morning tea, parents and their little ones will take part in a Baby Sensory class, held by Baby Sensory Auckland.

Every parent who attends will have the chance to win a $150 voucher from Features Forever Baby Casting.

Botany Town Centre senior marketing manager Desiree Clark believes it’s a great place to meet other like-minded and local parents who can share stories and advice with each other.

“Since our first Baby & Me session, which invited local parents to enjoy a baby-friendly movie screening, it’s become apparent that there is a strong interest in creating a platform for local parents to get together on occasion, where those who are in similar stages of parenthood can instantly bond over sleepless nights! We’ll see friendships form and babies grow – it’s wonderful,” she says.

Maree Adam, Branch Coordinator of Bellyful East Auckland is grateful for the support of Botany Town Centre and knows that they couldn’t do what they do without the support of the local community.

“Bellyful is a wonderful not-for-profit organisation that gives families a helping hand in times of need. We are opening our 20th branch here in East Auckland and are thrilled to have Botany Town Centre partner with us for the Baby & Me event.”

To register, head along to the Visitor’s Centre at Botany Town Centre to pay the $5 ticket donation, with all proceeds going to Bellyful East Auckland. Spaces are limited and capped at 22 babies.

About Botany Town Centre
Situated approximately 19km southeast of Auckland, Botany Town Centre is one of New Zealand’s largest retail developments, with over 176 specialty stores. Its retailers range from Dick Smith Electronics to Rebel Sports and a full complement of banks, fashion stores, and New Zealand’s most popular café and restaurant chains. The centre includes one of Auckland’s largest Farmers stores and a New World supermarket. The centre provides diverse entertainment choices from the La Premiere at Hoyts Cinema to the award-winning Cock and Bull pub. In addition to its retail offering, Botany Town Centre is a community hub for other services including the Botany Library, the Community Constable, and a variety of medical and health providers.

About Bellyful
Bellyful is a not-for-profit organisation that helps families around New Zealand when they need it most – at dinner-time!

Bellyful delivers precooked meals to families with new babies and families struggling with illness (critically or terminally ill immediate family member), and thanks to local support, their service is free.

Bellyful knows how hard those first few months with a newborn can be, and that’s before adding other children and career demands to the mix. They are not a food bank – its service is appreciated by corporate mums as much as those at home.

Bellyful was founded in 2009 in Franklin (south of Auckland) and is a national organisation that aims to have a Bellyful branch in every town by 2016.

They currently operate 19 branches nationwide and East Auckland will be their 20th. Each branch of Bellyful reports directly to Bellyful NZ head office, based in Auckland. Branches do all of their own fundraising, and therefore need a lot of local support.
