Hilton Lake Taupo In Support of Make-A-Wish, New Zealand: Share The Power Of A Wish!

Hilton Lake Taupo kicks off a charitable Trade Me auction to raise funds for one of the most deserving and well-established charitable organisations in New Zealand, Make-A-Wish.

With the support of prominent local activity providers, Hilton Lake Taupo is confident it will raise a lot of interest amongst online bidders with its ultimate accommodation and activity package up for grabs.

The total value of the accommodation and activity package on auction is valued more than NZ$3,000 and it includes a one night’s stay for six guests in the Hilton Lake Taupo three bedroom Presidential Suite; fully cooked breakfast for six people at Simon Gault’s Restaurant and Bar, Bistro Lago; a rafting experience with Tongariro River Rafting and a scenic helicopter flight with Helipro Taupo for six.

All proceeds from the Trade Me auction are going to Make-A-Wish, New Zealand and will allow them to make the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions come true. Make-A-Wish was founded in the early 1980s in the U.S. and it was established in 1986 in New Zealand. Today, the foundation has more than 100 volunteers and has granted 200 wishes in 2012. Make-A-Wish grants the special wishes of children aged three to 17 throughout New Zealand with life-threatening medical conditions to bring hope, strength and joy at a very challenging time in their lives. Wishes are an essential part of the support network for a child when they are often away from home, school and all of their friends while undergoing treatment. The impact of the wish is both far-reaching and life changing, not only for the child, but also for their family and their community.

Hotel Manager Ryan Mikkelson said, “This is a charitable initiative that comes from the heart of the team at Hilton Lake Taupo. We are proud to be supporting the Make-A-Wish foundation along with our activity partners. This auction is also a great opportunity for a family or group of friends to experience the vibrant destination of Lake Taupo, while helping to support an amazing cause.”

Visit Trademe.co.nz and search Hilton Lake Taupo. Make a bid to "The Ultimate Accommodation and Activity Package" and join in supporting the wonderful work of Make-AWish and Hilton Lake Taupo.
