JGeeks Annnounce Dates For 2013 Eggs Factor Tour

JGeeks Annnounce Dates For 2013 Eggs Factor Tour

JGeeks today announced plans to undertake a 23-date New Zealand tour in September/October.

Fresh from a highly successful European tour, the Metro Maori performers are gearing up for their second New Zealand tour – to be known as the “Eggs Factor” tour.

“We can’t wait to undertake another New Zealand tour – getting back to our local fans will be huge and we know they have been asking for this,” says group leader Jermaine Leef, a former Disney Channel and C4 Select Live presenter.

“We had a fabulous time in Europe and created a big following with audiences. It gave us the chance to showcase our act on the international stage,” he said.

The JGeeks sound is a mix of electro-Nintendo pop groove. They're an avant-garde mix of bright colours, suit jackets, ties and high-top kicks, contrasted with neoteric Maori moko.

Already, they’ve performed for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, taught Prime Minister John Key how to ‘geek’ and excited millions of viewers as they shot through to the finals of New Zealand’s Got Talent in 2012. They have also been the leading entertainment act at numerous spectacular events, including New Zealand Fashion Week.

Never failing to impress their ever-growing fan base, JGeeks launched their sell out “Tu Meke Tour” in 2012 - touring Aotearoa, New Zealand with special guest Tawaroa Kawana and others. The high energy, high impact tour was a unique Maori “tongue in cheek” fusion of dance, music, singing, skits and pop culture. Smash hits “Maori Boy”, “Icky Sticky” and “Best day I ever had” were performed and fans went crazy over the remarkable levels of audience engagement.

The “Eggs Factor” 2013 tour is also expected to attract sell-out crowds and the JGeeks are promising lots of exciting and energised new features in their performances.

The 2013 NZ Tour Dates are: September 6: Dargaville Town Hall; 7th Whangarei Sports Stadium; 9th Kaitaia Te Ahu Centre; 11th Hamilton Clarence Theatre, 12th Tauranga ASB Stadium Lounge; 13th Whakatane Baptist Church; 14th Rotorua Civic Theatre; 15th Taupo Great Lake Centre Hall; 16th Hastings Opera House; 17th Gisborne Showgrounds Events Centre; 19th Wairoa Community Hall; 20th Masterton Town Hall, 22nd Porirua Te Rauparaha Arena; 23rd Palmerston North Function Centre; 24th Wanganui War Memorial Hall; 26th Te Kuiti Waitomo Events Centre; 27th New Plymouth Boys High School (Ryder Hall); 29th Nelson Trafalgar Centre; 30th Blenheim Marlborough Lines Stadium; October 1st Christchurch Celebration Centre; 3rd and 4th Dunedin Town Centre and Otago Boys High School; 5th Invercargill Stadium.
