Shapeshifter Live This Summer

Shapeshifter Live This Summer

The Aotearoa summer brings some delicious certainties: days stretch out as the mercury rises; beaches pack out with punters escaping the cities; and electronic soul outfit Shapeshifter roll out a run of sold out shows.

Shapeshifter’s highly successful, fearlessly experimental 5th studio album Delta was embraced by an army of music lovers, who took it to #1 on the New Zealand album chart and have kept it in the top 40 since its release. Fresh off the back of Delta’s release, the band played packed-out shows across the country, a tour so over-subscribed that extra Auckland and Christchurch dates had to be added to keep up with the overwhelming demand for tickets.

For their follow-up to the Delta album release tour, Shapeshifter crew with Electric Wire Hustle for dates in Lower Hutt and Motueka, and then bring electronic artist Opiuo along for the ride at the Coroglen Tavern and one more show to be announced. On Thursday 2 January, Shapeshifter double their powers by teaming with the mighty Fat Freddy’s Drop at Matakanaval.

Shapeshifter let all the colours of their full-spectrum bass music ignite across five essential dates, kicking off 27 December. Do your summer justice and be there.
