More action to come at Round Two

Auckland Motorcycle Club MEDIA RELEASE 6 October, 2013.

More action to come at Round Two:

Round Two of the Auckland Motorcycle Club summer series is on this Saturday at Hampton Downs.

Following a successful opening meeting two weeks ago, riders will be looking to consolidate Club Series points.

Just as significantly however, the AMCC Series offers national class racers the opportunity to do some testing, and get some race laps in before the Tri-Series and National Championships begin in a few short months.

Post Classic racers will be enjoying the same opportunity, prior to the international Barry Sheene Oceania Challenge meeting coming up on Labour Weekend.

Saturday’s meeting will see the second round of the WIL Sport Hyosung Cup. A bumper field of 30 riders provided some of the best racing of the day at the opening round, and there is no doubt this will be a class to watch on Saturday.

An interesting aspect of the Hyosung Cup is that the final Series race at each meeting has a Le-Man’s start; a variable that gives the racing an extra edge.

Race day will see practice starting at 8:30 am, with racing commencing at 11:00 am.

The 2013-2014 Series is being promoted and organised by the Auckland Motorcycle Club, who would like to acknowledge the support of Red Baron Motorcycles, Motomail, and Bikesport Ltd.
