A THOUSAND HILLS CANCELS WELLINGTON SEASON

A THOUSAND HILLS – AUCKLAND AND MANGERE SEASON

Despite the best efforts of both TAPAC and House of Hudson, the production team regret to inform Wellington audiences that the season of A Thousand Hills, originally to take place at Downstage Theatre, has been cancelled.

Scheduled to perform from the 4th to the 18th of November, the decision was made Friday afternoon after discussions as to continuing with the event at Downstage or at an alternative venue in Wellington. The difficult decision comes after a fortnight of looking at alternative venues in the capital.

“Obviously, this hasn’t been an easy decision” writer Mike Hudson has stated. “We want to let those in Wellington who were looking forward to our debut down there that we looked at every opportunity and logistical possibility but came to the conclusion that what we could do would be a disservice to Wellington theatre goers.”

“We want to provide audiences down there with the best possible performance for this incredible, real life story” he continues,

The performances at TAPAC in Auckland from October 16th to 2nd November and Mangere Arts Centre from the 18th to the 23rd of November are unaffected.
