Jeep Set to Score with Benji Marshall

Benji Marshall has followed his conversion to Rugby Union to play with the Auckland Blues with a move to another legend, Jeep, with the sporting star joining Jeep as one its team of ambassadors, along with his wife, Zoe.

“I’m loving be back in New Zealand,” said Benji Marshall when he collected his new Jeep. “I can’t wait to get out in my Cherokee to find my way around Auckland!”

After a decade on the other side of the Tasman, Benji Marshall has switched codes to return home and will be attending games for his new team, the Auckland Blues, in the latest Jeep Grand Cherokee, in blue, of course.

Not to be outdone by her husband, Zoe Marshall is also getting behind the wheel of a Jeep for the couple’s return to Auckland, with Zoe taking to the roads in the classic Jeep Wrangler two door.

Since making his debut in the NRL in 2003, Benji Marshall has proven to be one of the outstanding players of his generation, whether it was playing for Wests Tigers, where the goal kicking five-eighth is the club’s all-time try and point scorer, or as the captain of the New Zealand national team that won the 2008 World Cup and the 2010 Four Nations tournaments.

“Benji is renowned for his attacking game, with his skilful use of sidesteps, no-look passes and flick-passes,” says Clyde Campbell, Partner of Fiat Chrysler New Zealand. “It is therefore, highly appropriate that he is behind the wheel of Jeep Grand Cherokee, a car renowned its ability to side step its way through difficult conditions on or off the road, to climb over no look mountain passes and, at the same time, with its powerful range of engines, to be able to flick past lesser cars on the road. We are proud to be associated with one of New Zealand’s sporting legends and we look forward to seeing him in action at the Auckland Blues and behind the wheel of his blue Jeep Grand Cherokee!”
