KURT VILE & YO LA TENGO RELEASE DELUXE EDITIONS

Yo La Tengo’s Fade Deluxe version and Kurt Vile’s Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze: Deluxe Daze are released today 15th November.
Also out today is Yo La Tengo’s kiwiana treat:
Super Kiwi on 7’’ single.

Closing out 2013 with a flourish, Yo La Tengo present the Deluxe Edition of January’s loudly applauded long player. This expanded edition adds a 78 minute disc of B-sides and unreleased material including the various limited vinyl pieces that accompanied the album as well as odds and ends that until now have been completely unreleased. Featured are unreleased B-sides “Super Kiwi”, & “Note To Self”, alternate versions of “Stupid Things”, “Ohm”, “Two Trains” and others, covers of Times New Viking, The Beach Boys and more surprises.

‘Super Kiwi’ will also be released as a 7”, and yes, that is our favourite flightless bird on the cover. The special release also features the Beach Boys’ track ‘A Day in the Life of a Tree’ from the 1971 album Surf’s Up.

Meanwhile, Kurt Vile has had an epic year, with a flurry of late night television appearances, seemingly endless touring (including a visit to our shores next year for Laneway) and even the inaugural Kurt Vile day in his hometown of Philadelphia. Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze: Deluxe Daze (Post Haze) is compromised of 69 minutes worth of brand new tracks and sweeping, expansive reworking’s including reprises of “Snowflakes Are Dancing” and “Air Bud”.

Deluxe Daze will also feature a bonus EP which features 6 previously unreleased tracks. "It's a big world out there (and I am scared)" was recorded during the same sessions as the latest album and will also be released separately.
