Aces welcome back Blackcaps for double header

The Auckland Aces will have all their returning Blackcaps available when they face the Wellington Firebirds tomorrow night on the Eden Park main oval.

Kyle Mills, Colin Munro and Mitchell McClenaghan will join a twelve that already includes overseas professional Luke Wright and Blackcaps Martin Guptill and Bruce Martin.

The match is a quick rematch of last weekend's game in the capital where the Aces got home on the second to last ball of the match.

Coach Matt Horne was pleased with that first performance and wants to keep the momentum going this weekend.

"We were happy with a lot of things last week, we did a number of the basics really well. Having said that I think a lot of the guys are still getting back into the groove of twenty20 cricket so we're expecting a number of aspects to improve this weekend."

Any coach would be glad to have three Blackcaps returning to his side and Horne wasn't concerned about their fitting into the team pattern.

"It's something you can predict fairly well in advance and plan for accordingly so it's no problem and it's great to just have that kind of quality walk back in the door for your next game."

A team will be named from the following twelve players:

Gareth Hopkins (Captain) (Parnell)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Donovan Grobbelaar (Howick Pakuranga)
Martin Guptill (Suburbs New Lynn)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Bruce Martin (Parnell)
Mitchell McClenaghan (Howick Pakuranga)
Kyle Mills (Howick Pakuranga)
Colin Munro (Howick Pakuranga)
Luke Wright (Overseas professional)
