Final interest call for eco fashion event

Final interest call for eco fashion event

The final call for designers and eco businesses considering involvements in New Zealand Eco Fashion Exposed is out. Registrations of interest for the annual eco fashion event, which has attracted international interest and designers, will close at midnight on Friday 6 June, to allow organisers sufficient time to prepare the schedule for the 23 – 27 July event.

Already a larger number of designers than those involved in the inaugural 2013 event have registered interest, but Director Denise Anglesey says there are a limited number of spots still available for the expanded event.

“We have the capacity this year for multiple runway shows, along with the pop-up shopping and eco expo, so we have expanded the number of designers and other organisations we are able to accommodate.”

Significant international interest has already been received, with confirmed runway appearances from Australian designer GREEN EMBASSY, London designer Stamo, and designers from India as well as a great selection of New Zealand-based designers.

“We’re excited to be able to present such a great variety of NZ and international designers – it’s going to be tough to schedule the shows, but what we do know is that it’s going to be one awesome event!”, said Anglesey.

With an affordable price-point for established designers, along with categories for new and student designers, the event has been created to allow a wide range of entries, no matter the stage of designers’ careers.

In addition to runway shows, a pop-up shop which runs for the duration of the event allows designers and eco fashion businesses a space to sell, even if they aren’t involved in runway.

Saturday and Sunday also see the addition of the eco expo, an opportunity for other non-fashion eco organisations and businesses to display their wares.

NZ Eco Fashion Exposed 2014 is proudly supported by Major Sponsor, Hutt City Council.

Applications for the runway shows, pop-up, and expo are available online at

ENDS.
