New Zealand flag alternatives revealed


New Zealand has a history of debating whether the national flag should be changed. Many think it’s often confused with the Australian flag and ignores New Zealand's Maori heritage.

Earlier this year, Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key, finally announced that the country will vote in a referendum within the next three years on whether to change the nation’s flag.

To kick-start the process, DesignCrowd asked its army of over 180,000 designers from around the world to redesign the New Zealand flag, all the submissions can be found here. Here are some standout designs:
