International singer and creator and star of award winning tribute acts to Neil Diamond, Peter Byrne is one of Australia's most talented and versatile entertainers. Peter’s career is studded with awards from the entertainment industry, acknowledging his outstanding ability to create and perform shows that take his audience on a memorable journey of songs and music. His professional productions, along with a warm, sparkling personality and a delightful touch of Irish wisdom and humour, has resulted in a 'cult-like' band of dedicated fans who provide the nucleus of an audience at all of his public appearances.

Peter began his career singing in pubs in his birthplace of Dublin and had his first big break as the support act for the Irish folk band The Furey's. Inspired, Peter moved to Australia and started performing all over the country. The first performance of his Hot August Nightproduction, with a 40-piece orchestra at the Sydney Convention Centre, was as a 25th anniversary tribute to one of the greatest live albums of all time. The show received a standing ovation from the 4,000+ audience. Hot August Night has been performed every August since that first night - in South Africa, the UK, on cruise ships all over the world and in every year in Australia. Peter has won seven ACE Awards but a special moment came after receiving one of his many MO Awards (for Best Production Show). Peter's talent was acknowledged in a few simple words by Neil Diamond himself when he said…

Thanks for the great tribute show - Neil Diamond
