Amazing Experiences to Be Won with Samsung’s Home Smart Home

Amazing Experiences to Be Won with Samsung’s Home Smart Home

Samsung seeking deserving Kiwis to fill designer home at Wynyard Quarter

Auckland – September 30, 2014 – Samsung Electronics New Zealand is on the hunt for deserving Kiwis to take part in exclusive occasions to be held at the Home Smart Home, a waterside concept home which will be on site at Wynyard Quarter from October 4.

The home, which is constructed from modules that move depending on the occasion, will play host to a range of complimentary events; from a romantic dinner for two, to a cocktail party, or a game day for sports fans – just to name a few.

Marketing Director for Samsung Electronics New Zealand, Mike Cornwell, is encouraging the public to jump online and put forward their case as to why they should be chosen as the lucky recipients for each occasion.

“We have seven different options up for grabs which cater to a whole range of personalities and preferences. What’s really exciting is that no occasion will be the same; not only thanks to the different themes of each event, but because the house can change shape depending on the event taking place. It’s practical thinking, meets design innovation.”

Each event will profile Samsung’s new range of innovative appliances – including the Food Showcase Refrigerator, with a showcase door for quick access to your family’s most frequently used foods; the Sparkling Water Refrigerator, giving you the option of still or sparkling water straight from the fridge door, the Waterwall Dishwasher with its breakthrough vertical wall of water ensuring corner to corner coverage; and the Crystal Blue Washing Machine, that does all the thinking for you and which users can control remotely via their smartphone.

“At Samsung we believe that good design can make things better, and we plan on showcasing this philosophy through the events we’ll be hosting in the Home Smart Home. All the public needs to do is chose an occasion, invite some quests, and we’ll take care of the rest!” says Cornwell.

Register online at http://www.samsung.com/nz/ to take part in complimentary events to share with family and friends, just as they would in their own homes.

Howard Davis Review: Sally Potter's The Party

Sally Potter remains one of Britain’s most determined independent film-makers, deliberately resisting the lure of mainstream attention in order to work entirely on her own terms. Full kudos to the Embassy Theatre for stepping up to the plate and hosting the Wellington Film Society, after the owners of the Paramount committed an unpardonable act of cultural vandalism when it shuttered the country's oldest movie theatre last year.
