The Cardrona NZ Junior Freeski and Snowboard National Championships got underway in Wanaka on Monday 29 September 2014 with over 200 competitors aged five to 18 years enjoying fantastic spring conditions for the first day of their four-day event schedule. Day one featured the Ski Dual Giant Slalom, Salomon Skier-cross and Smith Snowboard Slopestyle.
