The X Factor Countdown is on

The Countdown is on – Five Days until Nationwide Pre-Auditions For The X Factor NZ Begin

The search for New Zealand’s next recording superstar gets underway on October 11th when pre-auditions for The X Factor NZ begin in Auckland.

Pre-auditions for the hit TV3 series will be held in 13 locations throughout the country in the search to find the next generation of singers, groups or bands who will compete for the winner’s title in the 2015 series of this global television phenomenon.

Contestants who are successful at the pre-auditions will then go on to perform in front of the four judges, including Melanie Blatt and Stan Walker, plus two judges who will be announced in the coming weeks, host Dominic Bowden and a LIVE televised audience.

Series judge Melanie Blatt says she’s looking forward to seeing what local talent will shine through from the pre-audition round.

“I’m really excited about coming back to New Zealand, there’s some incredible musical talent in your country, as we saw in the first series. It’s fantastic that bands can also enter for the first time, it’ll add a whole new dimension to the competition. I can’t wait to see who steps up at the pre-audition round. This is the opportunity of a lifetime so if you think you have what it takes, our team wants to see you there!”

TV3 is also delighted to announce McDonald’s as the broadcast sponsor of The X Factor NZ, a cross-channel partnership that will be integral to bringing the series to Kiwi audiences.

“Watching New Zealand get behind The X Factor in 2013 inspired us to be even more involved this year,” says Chris Brown, Director of Marketing for McDonald’s New Zealand.

“We’re thrilled to be returning as the broadcast sponsor in 2015. This will allow us to take our celebration of the amazing talent we have here in New Zealand to the next level. We’re also excited by the prospect of supporting the families and friends that make it all possible,” he added.
