Australian International Movie Convention Box Office Awards

RENTRAK/COCA-COLA BOX OFFICE ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
PRESENTED AT 2014 AIMC

October 15, 2014 – Gold Coast, Queensland: The 69th Australian International Movie Convention hosted the annual Box Office Achievement Awards at Jupiters Hotel & Casino today.

Delegates attended a sit-down luncheon in the Pavilion Ballroom at Jupiters to celebrate the presentation of the key Highest Grossing Box Office Awards in Australia and New Zealand for 2013/2014, sponsored by Rentrak and Coca-Cola.

And the awards went to:
Award for Highest Grossing Foreign Language Film
Presented by Stephanie Zeccola - National Marketing Manager, Palace Cinemas
Awarded to: DHOOM 3 (Mindblowing Films)
Award accepted by Mitu Bhowmick Lange - Director, Mindblowing Films & John Molloy - Partner, Mindblowing Films

RENTRAK Award for Highest Grossing Australian Film
Presented by Steve Ashmore, Vice-President Rentrak Latin America and Asia Pacific
Awarded to: THE RAILWAY MAN (Paramount/Transmission)
Award accepted by Matthew Soulos - Head of Sales Theatrical, Transmission Films

COCA-COLA Gold Award for Highest Grossing Film in Australia
Presented by Michael Boyden – General Manager, Food Service & Leisure, Coca-Cola Amatil
Awarded to: THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE (Roadshow Films)

Continually attracting record numbers of delegates from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the US and Europe, the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) remains the premier event to showcase the Australian film industry and provide opportunities for industry stakeholders to reflect upon and shape the issues that affect the business of motion pictures, and to network with local and international colleagues. The Australian International Movie Convention is held annually on the Gold Coast, Queensland and hosted by NACO, the National Association of Cinema Operators – Australasia.

The Australian International Movie Convention is supported by the City of Gold Coast and the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and Screen Queensland.
