Cobra Puma Golf announced as sponsor for the 2015 BMW New Zealand Open

Organisers of the BMW New Zealand Open are delighted to welcome Cobra Puma Golf on board as a supporting sponsor of New Zealand’s premier golf event.

The BMW New Zealand Open, a tier one event on the PGA Tour of Australasia, will be held from March 12 to 15 at The Hills and Millbrook Resort in Queenstown, and tickets areavailable now at www.ticketek.co.nz.

Cobra Puma Golf – a merger between sportswear giant Puma and innovative golf equipment company Cobra Golf -- has a partnership history with New Zealand Golf, but this is the first time it will support the BMW New Zealand Open.

“It naturally made sense for Cobra Puma Golf to be involved with New Zealand’s premier golf event and we’re delighted to form a partnership that promotes the game of golf,” said Cobra Puma head of golf Christian Pegrum.

“Puma and the Open have a long history, but recent years have shaped a new direction to drive forward and that synergy is what we’re excited to be part of.

“The BMW New Zealand Open is an event that continues to grow, and its unique format incorporating a Pro-Am event enables a more inclusive format that will continue to have broader appeal.”

Cobra Puma Golf’s ‘Game Enjoyment’ message is that golf should be colourful, innovative, stylish and most of all fun.

BMW New Zealand Open Tournament Director Michael Glading said that he was thrilled to have Puma Cobra Golf join the event’s sponsorship family.

“It’s fantastic to have a leading golf sportswear company supporting the event and sharing our passion for golf. Having such enthusiasm and expertise on board is what will help make the 2015 BMW New Zealand Open a huge success,” he said.
