Community Netball Manager appoited to Welsh Netball

Trish Wilcox has been appointed as the Welsh Netball Head of Elite Performance. Trish joins WN from the Netball Northern Zone where she works as the Community Netball Manager. Trish, who hails from Glamorgan, played a critical role in leading, developing and implementing Netball New Zealand’s Community Netball Plan into the newly established Netball Northern Zone.

Alongside coaching the Welsh senior national team, Trish will also be responsible for ensuring the appropriate performance pathways are in place to allow the most talented netballers, coaches and umpires in Wales to progress and represent their country.

Trish’s passion has lain in coaching and she coached Samoa U21’s to their highest ever placing at the 2013 World Youth Championships, and was head coach of the Cook Islands senior national team throughout 2013/14.

Trish was born in Gorseinon, (Swansea, Wales) and began playing for West Glamorgan as an age group representative player. She has a large extended family whom still live in South Wales.
