Annah Stretton and Robyn Malcolm shine spotlight on struggling new mums

Perinatal Mental Health Awareness Week 1st-9th November

The Postnatal Distress (PND) Support Network is hosting a fashion show and fundraising dinner to raise awareness of postnatal distress and perinatal mental health.

Robyn Malcolm and Annah Stretton, whose designs will be on show, will be speaking at the event. Stretton has a particular interest in women’s issues and mentors women into business and education. She will be the keynote speaker at the dinner and will talk about the power of philanthropy and the value of giving back.

“We are thrilled to have the involvement of both these vivacious, strong women”, says Emma Green, who has helped the PND Support Network organize the fundraising evening.

“The evening is about promoting awareness of perinatal mental health, and the importance of wellbeing and resilience for new mums. A big part of our role is helping mums feel OK about getting extra support when they need it. We are interested in supporting mothers to be the best version of themselves they can be, but that means accepting not being perfect”.

The dinner is timely because it takes place in Perinatal Mental Health Awareness Week on Friday 7th November at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland.

Tickets are on sale through the PND Support Network.
