Heritage Treasures of the Coromandel

Everywhere you go in the Coromandel there's a story to tell or a piece of history to explore. The legendary explorations of Kupe and Cook, the historic legacy of gold mining and kauri logging, the quirky fibro baches of the post-war era - the Coromandel has a wealth of historic places that connect us with generations of explorers, settler, speculators, farmers and holiday makers.

The Destination Coromandel website www.thecoromandel.com has recently developed a new front door for visitors interested in adding a historic experience to their Coromandel itinerary.

If you would like to read more of the Heritage Treasures of the Coromandel, you can pick up one of the Our Coromandel Summer Magazines from one of the Council offices or i-Sites around the Coromandel.
