Nominate someone to have a Cracker Christmas

24 November 2014: Countdown stores around the country are calling out for people to nominate a deserving individual or family to receive $500 of groceries to make Christmas a little easier this year.

All 172 Countdown stores around the country are participating, adding up to $86,000 of groceries that will be provided to unsuspecting Kiwis just in time for Christmas.

Countdown’s General Manager for Operations, Robert Moffat, says the initiative is about making Christmas a little brighter for 172 Kiwis and their families at a time when it’s needed most.

“We know Christmas can be a difficult time for many, so this is about giving back to someone in every community that we live and work in, whether that’s because they need a little bit of extra help, or are particularly deserving of a great Christmas this year,” says Robert.

To nominate:

Nominations are open online via www.countdown.co.nz/give from Monday 24 November – Sunday 7 December

One winner will be chosen from each Countdown store

The $500 will be provided in the form of grocery vouchers

See www.countdown.co.nz/give for further details including terms and conditions
