Kapiti Food Fair ready to roll

28 November 2014

Kapiti Food Fair ready to roll
Proudly Sponsored by ANZ Paraparaumu

“With a week to go before the Kapiti Food Fair, everything is on-track to deliver a taste sensation and a wonderful day out for visitors” says Helene Judge, Fair Spokesperson.

“Vendors, sponsors, supporters, volunteers and importantly, our celebrity chefs’ Karena & Kasey Bird are all briefed and ready to roll”, Helene adds. There is much planning all year round for this event to take place successfully – the month leading up to the Fair is always a busy yet exciting time with last minute logistics being cemented. Critically the vendor site plan is finalised and hosting arrangements for Karena & Kasey are in-place to make sure their time in Kapiti is a memorable one.

Karena & Kasey will be kept busy while in Kapiti as we are hosting a welcome to Kapiti function that will be attended by sponsors, supporters & volunteers on Thursday night. On Friday they will be judging baking done by ANZ staff and having a picnic at Nga Manu Nature Reserve before heading off to run a Masterclass with 16 excited people who bought tickets to this event some time ago. On Saturday they will be demonstrating a delicious Christmas themed lunch from 11am to 1pm in the PartyPerfect Catering Celebrity Kitchen and then hosted by the Kapiti Mayor and principal sponsor ANZ on a Fair walkabout.

The entertainment schedule includes a line-up of talented locals who will play, sing and dance their way throughout the Fair from the Big Mac Slab Entertainment Arena. Inside and out of the large stretch tent there will be lots of room to sit down and relax while you enjoy the delicious tastes from the ‘united nations’ of food vendors.

“The weather is predicted to be good, so tell all of your friends, family and visitors to Kapiti to attend the Fair sometime during the day, 10am to 3pm, Mazengarb Reserve,” says Helene.
