Moët and Masu - A winning match at the NZ Festival of Tennis

Moët and Masu - A winning match at the NZ Festival of Tennis

Just when you thought the tennis couldn’t get any better, Moët & Chandon announces the ultimate champagne lounge experience with award winning Masu by Nic Watt at the NZ Festival of Tennis from January 5 – 17, 2015.

Based in the heart of the excitement, the elegant space will be serving up a pairing of gastronomic bliss. The collaboration between Moët & Chandon and Masu invites spectators to indulge in a range of fresh Japanese fusion dishes, which have been expertly crafted to match a range of Moët & Chandon champagnes.

“We are very excited to be able to combine Masu’s bright fresh seasonal flavours with the elegant balance that Moët & Chandon brings,” says Nic Watt, Masu.

Diners of the Moët & Chandon champagne lounge will see Moët & Chandon champagnes vibrant citrus fruit and elegant bold notes of fresh nuts matched perfectly with an exciting array of Masu creations; from soft shell crab sliders on squid ink buns with yuzu kosho mayo to half barley miso baby chicken, pork and kimchi gyoza with pickled cucumber finished by an elegant banana green tea parfait paired with yuzu meringue cherry sorbet.

“Nic Watt is an incredible chef with an eye for detail and impeccable cuisine combinations. Everything Nic has created for the lounge has been designed around celebration and sharing with others, which embodies Moët & Chandon perfectly,” says Rai Banbury, Moët & Chandon senior brand manager.

The NZ Festival of Tennis welcomes some of the world’s best tennis players to Auckland, including Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, David Ferrer and Gaël Monfils. As the go-to place at the tennis this season guests will be able to view all the action live from the Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge and may even be lucky enough to share a flute with some of the international stars set to arrive in New Zealand for the tournament.
