ASB’s Best Ball Boys in the World go global thanks to Venus Williams

A video featuring ASB’s best ball boys in the world: ball dogs, has gone viral after a tweet was shared by tennis superstar, Venus Williams, to her 1.17 million followers on Twitter.

ASB Bank, the major sponsor of the ASB Classic international tennis tournament, produced the video to celebrate their love of tennis by finding the best ball boys in the world – dogs. The ball dogs, Oscar, Super Teddy and Ted, were filmed supporting Venus Williams and Svetlana Kuznetsova during an exhibition match in Auckland last week.

Views of the video are skyrocketting following tweets from Venus Williams and her exhibition match partner Svetlana Kuznetsova and a news article from USA Today.

ASB Bank’s Head of Community and Sponsorship, Mark Graham, says the tennis-mad company is thrilled with the response.

“For Venus to share our video to her millions of fans, means we’ve had people from all over the world see our ASB ball dogs in action and understand how passionate ASB is about tennis.

“Fans of the ball dogs were delighted when the canines took centre court again yesterday, onsite at the ASB Tennis Centre, to meet their fans during a break in play.”
