WANTED
THOUGHTS
Billy T Award Winner Mike Loder is celebrating his twentieth year performing stand up comedy by recording a new CD during the Fringe. Off on a short tour, Loder begins with a season at the wonderful Q Theatre in Auckland in Late February before recording the show at BATs theatre in March.
The show WANTED THOUGHTS is a fast paced hour from the wheelchair bound performer. The crowd favourite is known for his original material, sharp writing and high laugh rate.
The outspoken comic is also a familiar face from a host of radio and television appearances - going back to the long running Pulp Comedy show. Most recently seen on TV3's After Dark, 7 Days and Maori TV's Crack Up. But live performance work remains his first love.
"I spent years touring the Fringe early in my career. It’s how I got the stage time I needed to develop. I think my record was twenty theatre festivals a year in a half dozen countries. I loved it. The Fringe atmosphere is exciting, hugely supportive and was a natural choice to record the new show," says Mike Loder.
