Mediaworks Announces Casting Call For Masterchef NZ

MediaWorks is excited to announce the casting call is now open for New Zealand’s hottest cooking competition, MasterChef New Zealand.

Producers are on the hunt for contestants from around the country who have an unrivalled passion for food.

“We’re after the best home cooks New Zealand has to offer,” says Head of Commissioning and External Production Sue Woodfield.

“This is a show for the unsung heroes of the kitchen – Kiwis who love great food and great flavours. We want them to bring the food of their families to the nation.”

This is the chance for ordinary Kiwis who produce extraordinary food to become involved in one of the most successful competitive cooking franchises to date.

Every kitchen wannabe from amateur chefs to budding foodies should throw their chef’s hats into the ring and apply now.

The New Zealand show will be produced by Imagination TV for TV3 and will see a number of amateur chefs compete as a formidable judging panel decides whether they have what it takes to be New Zealand’s next MasterChef.

MasterChef New Zealand will screen on TV3 in 2015, as part of the MediaWorks blockbuster local line-up that includes The X Factor NZ, The Block NZ, The Bachelor New Zealand, and will have significant digital and social media components. More FM will be supporting the search for New Zealand’s next MasterChef.

MasterChef is currently produced in over 40 countries around the globe, and airs in over 200.
