Additional Role For Kia Magic Assistant Coach

Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty has today announced that Kia Magic Assistant Coach, Margaret Forsyth has been appointed in an additional part-time role as the zone’s Performance Manager.

Key elements of the role include overseeing development of the zone’s age group players and squads, including the back-to-back national champion U23 side, talent identification and player and coach development. Progressing competition related initiatives within the region will be another aspect of the role.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to support performance coaches and grow our emerging talent player base in the zone,” said Margaret Forsyth.

“I’m also looking forward to working closely with the netball centres throughout the Waikato Bay of Plenty region,” added the former Silver Fern.

The Performance Manager role will not impact on her role as Kia Magic Assistant Coach and complements her recent selection into High Performance Sport New Zealand’s prestigious Coach Accelerator Programme. Margaret Forsyth will commence the Performance Manager role on 16 March.
