Four Canterbury athletes off to the Gallipoli Games

Four University of Canterbury athletes are off to the Gallipoli Games later this month to mark the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign.

They are Niki McFadzien (cross country), Max Beckert (cycling), Craig Savage (triathlon) and Susie Clow (triathlon). Matthew Ingram and Stephen Rickerby also from the university will help manage the team.

The April 23 to 29 event is being organised by the Turkish University Sports Federation. Student athletes from Australia, France, Germany, India, New Zealand and United Kingdom are taking part.
