Host Families Needed in New Zealand

Host Families Needed in New Zealand

Have you ever wondered where Princess Mary lives in Copenhagen, how to make your own Italian pasta, learn French, or perhaps want to learn more about the German Oktoberfest?

Why not join Student Exchange Australia New Zealand (SEANZ) as a host family to welcome a new group of overseas students to New Zealand in June/July 2015. These high school students will be arriving from Austria, Bolivia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and the USA.

We are looking for host families across New Zealand to welcome these students into their home for anywhere between 2 and 10 months. It is an experience that is often referred to as a way to reignite your passion for New Zealand, whilst at the same time creating bonds and sharing lifelong memories.

Host mum Trudie, from Auckland, commented, "Hosting opens your mind to all sorts of thinking and all sorts of possibilities. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have the opportunity to host, just do it".

Trudie and husband Shawn found the experience extremely satisfying. Shawn commented, "We are so lucky to have Claire come stay with us. She is wonderful. Claire fits in easily with family life and adapted well to preparing her own breakfast and lunch during the week. She was very happy to 'hang out' with the family, prepare meals and assist in clearing up after meals."

You can watch a selection of videos of the Cain family from our host family testimonials page on our website.

A hosting experience is an opportunity for both the exchange student and host family to learn firsthand about the world around them. It is a unique experience to discover another culture, share your family values, and make lifelong memories and friendships. Students become another member of the family, attend a local school, and are supported by local coordinators.

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation registered with the NZ Ministry of Education. For further information please visit our website www.studentexchange.org.nz/host-a-student or call our New Zealand office on 0800 440 079 to speak with one of our Area Representatives in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Tauranga and Wellington.

Scoop Review Of Books: Who Killed Jane?

This is an important book. Why? Because any publication that soberly and sensibly attempts to cast light on an unsolved murder is important, for the very real reasons that not only do the bereaved require and deserve a sense of closure, but that the murderer or murderers may be closer to being confirmed, arrested, tried.
