Quality Hotel Brings Technology Offering Online

Stay Connected as Quality Hotel Brings Technology Offering Online

Melbourne, 15th April, 2015 – One of Melbourne’s historic CBD hotels has put the future firmly in its sites as it unveils the latest technology, including complimentary wifi, together with new accommodation packages to the corporate and leisure markets.

Yann Duroselle, Executive General Manager of Quality Hotel Batman’s Hill on Collins, said the changes were more in tune with the needs of today’s modern traveller, and marked an exciting time for the hotel, allowing it to fully maximise its potential in Australia and internationally.

“We are now approaching the end of our enhancement program, which has seen a considerable investment over the last couple of years to modernise the hotel’s suite of rooms and apartments as well as upgrade the technology within the building to fulfil our long-term goal of offering an all encompassing media experience.”

Mr Duroselle said the fully integrated media hub, which will be available across all 190 suites from April 30, features a Samsung Smart TV at its core, giving guests the option to connect any iOS, Android, laptop or portable hard disk device and share data across platforms.

Web browsing is now also available free of charge for one device utilising ADSL2. Guests wanting to connect additional devices as well as access a faster internet service can do so for an extra cost.

“It is about value adding for customers, and providing features that they would typically only find in top end hotels, at an entry level price.

“Guests will be able to browse the internet, check their email, look for surrounding tourism attractions, and go about their business at no additional cost to them.”

Mr Duroselle said the enhancement program, which has been undertaken in stages, complemented the hotel’s overall plan to elevate the overall guest experience.

“We decided to step away from the norm and re-evaluate our accommodation. From this internal review, we decided to repackage our accommodation, launching for the first time a Premium Economy option.”

He believed the Premium Economy Room, which is only available direct at www.batmanshill.com.au or from ChoiceHotels.com.au, placed the hotel as a price leader in the CBD area.

“There are only limited number of Premium Economy Rooms, and we know they will be incredibly popular, given their size, value for money and central location in Melbourne.

Quality Hotel Batman’s Hill on Collins now offers a choice of Economy Double/Twin, Economy Family, Premium Economy, Premiere Rooms, as well as Studio, One and Two bedroom apartments. The apartments provide a full kitchen complete with gas wok burners and rice cooker.

“This is about being transparent and honest in everything we do, and we know the traveller appreciates this when making their choice on where to stay.”

All square meterage is clearly indicated at booking stage, as well as the features of that particular room.

“It is wonderful to know we can now offer all our guests a high standard of accommodation while still ensuring our rooms are priced affordably,” Mr Duroselle added.

“Behind the scenes we have also completed a major upgrade to our air-conditioning system in the economy section. They are now energy efficient and allow guests to individually control the temperature and air-flow settings.”

Quality Hotel Batman’s Hill is located directly opposite Melbourne’s official city centre at the New York end of Collins Street. On its doorstep is Melbourne’s Tram Line, which now offers free inner city transport, as well as other key city attractions including Federation Square, Melbourne Aquarium and Eureka Tower.

Mr Duroselle said they had already received very positive feedback on the changes made.

“With the enhancement program now almost complete, we can concentrate on what we do best, offering our guests great value accommodation and facilities matched by outstanding customer service,” he said.
