Both local and international companies will be looking to NZ for timber design inspiration in 2015/16.

This is New Zealand’s only Timber Design award event and allows engineers, architects, architectural designers and builders to showcase innovation using timber.

One of the two new categories "Excellence in Engineered Wood Products" has been added to the award categories, due to growth of engineered timber buildings in New Zealand. The second NZ Wood new award is "Novel Application of Wood Award" for using new wood products or systems in a manner that characterises its unique features. You will also notice that "Exterior Innovation" has incorporated "Infrastructure" to the category

Entering the 2015 NZ Wood Resene Timber Design Awards will demonstrate your company's expertise and innovations.

Thanks to Daniel Scheibmair (President of Timber Design Society) and Dr Duncan Joiner (Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment - Chief Architect) who are returning to the judging panel this year, and we welcome back Pip Cheshire (NZIA President). This year's new "Novel Application of Wood Award" judges are Doug Gaunt (Scion) & Tom Clark (CHH).

We want to make sure their job is very difficult with so many great examples to judge!

Thanks again to our sponsors for supporting the 2015 awards.
