NZ comedian performing live on psychedelic mushrooms

NZ comedian performing live on psychedelic mushrooms for one night only

Two time Billy T award nominee Tim Batt (7Days, Radio Hauraki, Worst Idea of All Time podcast) has announced that for tonight only (13 May 2015), he will performing his NZ International Comedy Festival show under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms.

“I have no idea how this will go” Batt was quoted when asked about his expectations for the gig. “My biggest concern is becoming vegetated on stage.”

“I think as long as I keep talking, we'll all going to have a really good time tonight.”

Batt's show, Tim Batt Explores The Human Experience has received rave reviews, with several hundred comedy fans attending his show at the new comedy venue, The Montecristo in Nelson St, Auckland.

3News called him a “lovable rogue… incredibly refreshing, honest and relatable – a must-see”.

Theatrescenes noted “Batt's reactive opinions are on par with George Carlin and Bill Hicks, but the aggression of these late comics is replaced with a youthful and almost optimistic exuberance”.

Tim Batt Explores The Human Experience is on every night from tonight through Saturday at The Montcristo 8:15pm.

Tickets are available from eventfinda.co.nz
