Celtic Pipe Band’s Annual Cèilidh

Celtic Pipe Band’s Annual Cèilidh

Dust off your kilt; shine your dancing shoes, and do whatever you do with your sporran - it’s time to party the Scottish way!

The Celtic Pipe Band’s 7th annual fundraising Cèilidh, dance party this year is on Saturday June 6th at Nayland College Hall, from 7:00pm.

Celtic Pipe Band Secretary Helen Gilchrist says the evening includes performances from the National Championship Winning band, Celtic Pipe Band of Stoke, with players from as young as 9-years-old.

She says, “Helen's Highland Dancers will also show off their talents, plus there will get an opportunity to do the Highland Fling - with instruction!”

Helen says the basic dance steps are easily learnt with each dance taught briefly and then "called".

The dress code for the night is informal to full highland dress - it's up to you.

“This hugely popular, “good old fashioned Scottish knees-up” sells out every year, so don’t miss it.”

Tickets are available from Spark Business on Haven Road (ask for Pam), Richmond Mall Information Desk, or at the door (until sold out). Adults $15 dollars, under 18 years $5, and children under 10 are free.

There will be a bar serving wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks and of course whiskey! Plus this year there are raffles and even a traditional kilt to be bought at the auction, as the band raises funds to assist members who are about to set off overseas.

Eftpos will also be available.
