Targa NZ Turns 21 and Celebrates with a World First!

Targa NZ Turns 21 and Celebrates with a World First!

We celebrated 20 years with a spectacular South Island Event; an event that was a once in a life time opportunity, a challenge and an exciting celebration. Knowing how hard it was to beat such a successful event, we were driven back to the roots of Targa New Zealand.

Targa is renowned for its Central North Island roads; and what better way than to celebrate the milestone of 21 years by returning to our favourite districts as we cover the largest amount of Special Stage in history.

The Multimillion Dollar Traveling Road Show has reached a record breaking, world first 1000k's of Special Stage on tarmac, with only 1300k's of touring, something the North Americans and Europeans can only dream about! No other event gets close to these compact ratios, the value for this Targa NZ event is phenomenal! Join the Ultimate Road Race to take on the will of man verses machine, be sure to take advantage of the standard pricing and enter the milestone event before the end of July!

Event Dates:

Sunday 25th October: Auckland
Monday 26th October: Hamilton
Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October: New Plymouth
Thursday 29th October: Palmerston North
Friday 30th October: Havelock North
Saturday 31st October: Palmerston north

New Tyre Rules for Targa NZ
We’ve been listening to competitor feedback about tyres and wanting the freedom to choose. Targa has created the following solution in which we believe is a fair compromise to the matter.

Federal will remain as the control tyre brand, however you can use any other tyre brand (regardless of whether Federal can or cannot supply) on payment of a flat dispensation fee of NZ$500.00 for use of a non-control tyre. Maximum number of tyres allowed per event before time penalties apply will remain at 8 for the Federal tyre brand but 6 for any other tyre brand or split brands. Tyres must be DOT rated or E-mark certified to meet NZ W.O.F standards.

We believe this freedom should remove any obstacles to entry.

Targa Bambina Photos are now available for purchase at www.proshotz.com so be sure to jump on and have a look at your action snaps!

We look forward to hearing from you as you get your Targa NZ preparation underway.
