Get ready for a swashbuckling high seas adventure

Get ready for a swashbuckling high seas adventure with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.

From Disney comes the second instalment of Captain Jack Sparrow’s epic and darkly magical adventures with his crew of miscreants in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.

This blockbuster movie, on the big screen at Horncastle Arena, is accompanied live by the CSO with over 70 musicians and choir performing the dramatic score by Academy-award-winning composer Hans Zimmer.

Time is running out for Jack Sparrow. He owes his soul to Davy Jones, the captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman, but ever-crafty Jack isn’t about to go down without a fight. With help from his old friends Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and the crew of the Black Pearl, Jack is in a race against time to find the key that will undo his curse.

Populated with sea monsters and conducted by Hamish McKeich, this is a performance of spectacular proportions and monumental sounds.
