Cymbol 303 x This Pale Fire:

‘Burst of Colour’ Video Released

Traditional Geisha and rebellious wild child, zen gardens and smashing cars, conservative expectations and untamed hearts, Cymbol 303 and This Pale Fire’s new video for single ‘Burst of Colour’ is a juxtaposition of different paths, freedom and conformity.

A bit of a juxtaposition in themselves, the partnership between Auckland producerCymbol 303 and singer/songwriter This Pale Fire brings together EDM and earnest indie rock in an unlikely yet compelling collaboration.

Both artists have been steadily building profile in the local scene in their own rights, with This Pale Fire releasing his debut EP Dusk late last year and Cymbol 303 taking out the George FM Remix Factor Competition in 2013 - releasing new material and playing high-profile shows ever since, including a slot at Rhythm & Vines.

Now working together, the prolific pair are gearing up to the release of their EP The Cycle which explores the different stages of relationships. ‘Burst of Colour’ represents step 1 - the initial buzz, excitement and infatuation - but the honeymoon period ain’t going to last.

Check out the video for ‘Burst of Colour’ on YouTube here and pick up the single fromiTunes. Cymbol 303 & This Pale Fire's full EP The Cycle is set for release on Friday 24 July.
