"WE’VE ONLY JUST BEGUN" - The Christchurch Pops Choir in Concert
The Christchurch Pops Choir presents its annual major concert for 2015 - "We've Only Just Begun - the Christchurch Pops Choir in concert" - on Saturday August 1st at the Charles Luney Auditorium at St Margaret's College, Christchurch at 7.30pm.
Fresh from a highly successful South Island Tour, the choir will present its usual ear grabbing mix of pop, rock, gospel and jazz music in its usual way - with high energy, panache and excellence in a combination you rarely hear in Christchurch. As well as Pops Choir regular pieces from Lady Gaga and Adele, there's a whole raft of new repertoire in rehearsal for the concert from Coldplay to the Carpenters.
The concert will be a special and bittersweet occasion for the choir as the last performance with founder Artistic Director Luke Di Somma. Di Somma has led the choir since its inception in 2011 and this September moves to London to pursue the next phase of his career.
