Have your jeans shrunk or has your waistline expanded?

Have your jeans shrunk or has your waistline expanded?

Consumer research company Canstar has released the findings from their latest consumer satisfaction survey on clothes dryers. The survey has revealed that a quarter of New Zealanders have shrunk their clothes in the dryer and wondered if they had put on weight.

More findings include:
· Men (30%) are significantly more likely to have shrunk their clothes in the dryer and wondered if they were packing on the pounds, than women (20%).

· More than a quarter (26%) of Kiwis often find items from their pockets destroyed in the dryer, with Aucklanders the most likely to find a surprise on their clothes.

· Close to two thirds of Kiwis (65%) are actively removing lint from their clothes dryer after every use and nearly half (48%) are scared of leaving the dryer on when they are heading out of the house.

· Close to half (48%) say that the convenience of drying their clothes quickly is more important than saving energy.

· Close to a third (32%) of Kiwis will often use their clothes dryer even if it is sunny outside.

· Also, Kiwis seem to be a tad judgemental when it comes to the laundry with 51% saying that they think that people who use their dryer for everyday washing are lazy.
