Saturday 08thAugust– Te Ahu o Te Reo is a new research initiative that will look at the state of te reo Maori in homes and communities across the country. Lead by Te Waahanga from the New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) and Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Maori. Selected regions will be the focus of the study. We talk with one of the lead researchers Kiwa Hammond from Ngai Kahungunu ki Wairoa.

Sunday 09thAugust- So as a nation we’re considering a new flag, and now some people want to change the anthem. It seems that those things our parents and grandparents valued so highly don't mean much to some anymore. So what should Aotearoa stand for? how can we express that symbolically in an iconic senselike a national flag and how can we proudly sing an anthem that resonates with us as Maori. We talk with veteran Maori rights advocate and academic Professor Ranginui Walker.

Korero Mai Ki Ahau a half hour features programme every Saturday and Sunday from noon, which takes an in – depth look at issues affecting te ao Maori. Totally in te reo Maori brought to you by Waatea News in association with Te Mangai Paho.
