Funny Guy Returns Home

Funny Guy Returns Home

The funny man of the Jono and Ben Show and the Edge Afternoons is returning home to Nelson for one night of gut-busting, side-splitting, rib-tickling stand up comedy.

The Guy Williams Homecoming Tour explodes on Nelson for two shows on Friday 30 October.

Organiser Sally Wood says local boy Guy is quite possibly the funniest man to ever come out of Nelson, and is excited to be back performing in front of his home town.

“The first gig is an all ages youth show, made possible thanks to support from Nelson City Council. This will be held in the Johnny Cash Room at NMIT, starting at 7pm and running through to 9pm on the Friday,” she says. “We’ll also have the Nelson Boys College and Nayland College Theatre Sports Teams performing with quirky improv comedy sketches that will be sure to put a smile on your dial.”

This event is strictly alcohol and other drug free. Security and H&S Event Workers will be on hand to ensure a happy and healthy event for all.

The second show is an R18 adults only show, hosted by the Free House and taking place in the Yurt. Wood says support for this show comes from a cast of local comedians from the Comedy Grind crew featuring the hilarious Steve Wilson and Mike O’Malley.

Tickets for both shows are available from Ticket Direct online, or at the Theatre Royal Box Office. $10 + booking fee for the youth show and $20 + booking fee for the R18 adults only Show. Door sales may be available on the night.
