Rotary New Zealand World Community Service articulates Giving Tuesday which will be celebrated for the fourth time next Tuesday 1st December 2015. Giving Tuesday provides again an opportunity for reflection on what unbridled giving really means in the lead up to Christmas. The Pacific Island countries are more likely than ever during the 2015/2016 South Pacific cyclone season to be in need of support given the predictions of El Nino forecasters. When disaster strikes bringing hardship to individuals and communities, Rotary New Zealand responds when called upon with its Emergency Response Kits and other relief supplies.
Giving Tuesday unites a broad spectrum of humanity around the world with one accord to encourage giving and enable organisations like Rotary New Zealand to respond to humanity when disaster strikes by providing an avenue for people to care for and empower one another whether giver or receiver.
