Celebrate the Magic of the Season

CELEBRATE THE MAGIC OF THE SEASON WITH THE MONTHLY MYSTERY WELLINGTON

24 November 2015

- At that time of year when we talk about the magic of the holiday season, why not celebrate with some real magic at The Monthly Mystery ? New Zealand’s only all-magic-and-mystery show returns to the Fringe Bar in Wellington on 10 December 2015, at 7 pm.

Produced by Mountebank Entertainments Limited and featuring magic, mind-reading, mirth and mayhem, The Monthly Mystery occurs on the second Thursday of every month. It showcases Wellington, national and international performers skilled in the mystery arts.

“The end of the calendar year is an ideal time to ponder mystery and magic,” says Mountebank Entertainments’ Mike Kay. “Whether it’s the mystery of how we got through the past year, or the simple magicof time spent with loved ones, the ideas behind The Monthly Mystery really resonate in December.”

Performers for the December Monthly Mystery include:

NZ mentalist Robert Haley, as featured on TVNZ’s Happy Hour;

The adroit prestidigitation of Maor Ben-Shahar;

The street magic stylings of Lucas Ryan;

The youthful exuberance of Reuben Tyrie;

Hosted by the mysterious Mike Kay.

Kay thinks The Monthly Mystery will balance the other pressures of life at this time of year. “We all have
obligations to face, whether it’s work parties or relatives who’ve told the same jokes for the past two decades.

Why not reward yourself with the gift of some enchantment? I think you’re worth it. Don’t you?”

The Monthly Mystery occurs at the Fringe Bar in Wellington on 10 December 2015, at 7 pm. Tickets are $15,
available online at http://www.eventfinda.co.nz/ . If the show has not sold out, there will be door sales.
