Venus Starr is a woman of many talents - from internationally renowned tattoo model and burlesque performer to Headmistress and teacher at Venus Starrs School of Burlesque, from mother, to established producer this one woman powerhouse is set to bring yet another show stopping event to the public of NZ.

Her last show, Diamond Carousel was a sell out hit, and now Venus is bringing something fresh to NZ’s entertainment scene, with a never seen before show full to the brim of the finest alternative fashion models from around NZ and around the world.

Dark Starr Lingerie & Fashion Show is Australasia's largest elite alternative fashion catwalk event, showcasing international designer collections from Australia, NZ, USA, Milan, and London, as well as playing host to dazzling circus and burlesque acts by NZ's top entertainers, Venus Starr, Leda Petit The Strawberry Siren ( Miss Burlesque Australia 2014). Also featuring on the night are live music performances from Tiki Taane and Jolene Tempest

Ms Starr is open about the challenges she has faced in putting together this production “ I'm always looking to push myself, and push the envelope a little more with my productions, which is where the idea of an alternative fashion and lingerie show came in - there's currently nothing like it being done on this scale in Australasia, so I decided to take on the challenge. Co-ordinating 40+ models from all over the world and working on the logistics of getting all of the collections to NZ, allocated to models and onto the stage has been a huge effort, but I have a great team working with me and we have absolutely nailed it. I can't wait to share the experience with the audience on the night, it's going to be fantastic”

When asked about where her inspiration comes from with the event, Venus is very clear “ I wanted to create a magical experience; luxurious, high-end, incredibly beautiful tattooed women, showcasing fashion with an alternative edge. Victoria's Secret with a rockstar twist.”

Featuring world famous, international tattoo models Sabina Kelley, Mary-Leigh Maxwell, Cervena Fox, Venus Starr, Pink Pirate ( Sarah Mudle) , Eliza Winn and Amy Lee as well as top modelling talent from around Australia and NZ this show is set to be a visual spectacular of decadence and a night of top-tier entertainment.
