Unexplained death in Dunedin was 51 year old woman

Dunedin Police are continuing to treat the death in Strathallen St as unexplained, however can confirm the deceased as a 51 year-old female.

ESR and police staff remain at the site this afternoon and are continuing a scene examination of the area.

Staff have advised the family of the death and are continuing to offer them support.

Until a post-mortem is completed, Police will be treating the death as unexplained.

The post-mortem is expected to occur tomorrow morning.

Police will be unable to comment further on this case until the post-mortem is completed.
