CLAUDELANDS SECURES 2016 NATIONAL CINZ CONFERENCE

11 December 2015

More than 120 leading conference and incentive sector specialists will get a taste of the Waikato region next year after Claudelands secured an important national conference.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) announced this week that Hamilton's award-winning Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre would be the venue for the organisation's 40th annual conference and AGM in 2016.

Running from 12-14 October 2016, the conference will bring together more than 120 delegates, including professional conference organisers, owners and managers of key venues, catering companies, accommodation providers, activity operators and regional convention bureaux from across New Zealand.

H3 Executive Director Sean Murray says the CINZ conference is an important piece of business for Claudelands and the Waikato region.

“We are excited to be hosting this event at Claudelands next year," Mr Murray says. "With the delegates all being specialists in the business events sector, this is an important opportunity to showcase our award-winning venue to this important audience as well as some of the other world-class attractions and facilities throughout Hamilton and the Waikato.”

CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says she is delighted to be holding the conference in the region, with the support of Hamilton & Waikato Tourism’s Convention Bureau and its partners, for the first time in the conference’s 40-year history.

“This is a vibrant and fast-growing area of New Zealand, with a dynamic business and innovation environment that in many instances is unique to the region. We look forward to making the most of the superb venues, attractions and facilities on offer,” she says.

The national conference will take place over two days and include plenary sessions, off-site functions and famils at venues such as Claudelands, Novotel Tainui Hamilton and Hobbiton Movie Set.
