Discount for Christchurch Ratepayers to See Top Women Golfers

Christchurch ratepayers can get discounted tickets to see some of the best women golfers in the world at the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open next month.
The tournament, held at Clearwater Golf Club on Friday 12 February - Sunday 14 February 2016, is one of New Zealand's premier women’s golfing events and attracts Major Champions and some household names. World Number One Lydia Ko will headline the event as she looks to defend her 2015 title.

The Council is mailing all Christchurch ratepayers a pass they can use to redeem discounted tickets over the coming weeks.

Christchurch City Council Head of Events Richard Attwood says he hopes the ticket offer will encourage ratepayers to attend the world-class competition.

“Having a discounted ticket price makes this a great opportunity for Christchurch ratepayers to see these top sportswomen in action at New Zealand's best golf course, as voted at the 2015 World Golf Awards.”

“We are excited to welcome visitors and players to the tournament from all over the world for the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open. This world-class field will make for exciting viewing, whether you are an experienced golfer or simply take an interest in the sport.”

Tickets can be bought online at www.nzwomensopen.co.nz before 11 February 2016 and at the gate each day. Daily draw sheets and onsite parking are included in the ticket price.
