Tom Furniss: The Importance of Being Furniss

Notorious* Proudly Presents Tom Furniss: The Importance of Being Furniss

Having burst onto the comedy scene and made his mark, Tom Furniss’ star isn’t just rising, it’s on bloody fire mate. Quickly establishing himself as more than just one to watch, Tom has become a regular panelist on 7 Days and is widely known as part of The Rock’s Morning Rumble.

Getting up early five days a week hasn’t stopped Tom gigging though, his set on TV3’s After Hours had people all over New Zealand recognising what a great talent he is. Tom’s solo shows have always had one foot in the surreal, and one foot in the mainstream. Audiences have delighted in his weirdness and loved his well crafted stand up.

Part of the Grand Cheval team that won the 2011 V48 Hours Grand Prize with their film The Child Jumpers (check it out on YouTube), Tom has many strings to his bow. From TV, to radio, live stage to film, he is ticking all the boxes of what will make him a huge success.

Tom’s oddball, quirky and self-deprecating comedy consistently make him an audience favourite around the country. Delightful, peculiar, subversive and always hilarious, this is a bloody wonderful way to spend an evening. With strictly limited runs in both Auckland and Wellington, these tickets will go fast so early booking is definitely recommended. Special preview price of just $18 for opening night.

*Proud purveyors of Fine Comedy, keeping it Notorious since 9.15am
