ARL gear up for premiership season kick-off
The Auckland Rugby League are gearing up for the season kick-off with the opening round of the SAS Fox Memorial and Crown Lift Trucks Sharman Cup Premiership competition this weekend.

Locals can catch two great games this Sunday at Mt Smart #2 from 12.45pm with entry for kids under 16 just $3 and adults $7.
The Ellerslie Eagles open the day as they take on the Bay Roskill Vikings in the Crown Lift Trucks Sharman Cup Premiership competition and curtain raiser to the SAS Fox Memorial game.
ARL’s biggest current club rivalry between Autex Pt Chevalier and Mt Albert kicks off at 2.30pm. In addition to early bragging rights, the Stormont Shield (champion of champions) will be on the line.
Saturday will showcase some great clashes as well, with Richmond returning to first division to take on Marist.
ARL CEO John Ackland says the double-header on Sunday will be a huge event.
"The footy season is back on and everyone is amped," he says.
"We're excited for the Premiership competitions to be underway and the double-header on Sunday will showcase some great footy."
