Our First Home Auction

SOLD! SUCCESS AT AUCTION FOR OUR FIRST HOME’S WOTTON FAMILY

The first auction hammer has fallen on Our First Home with the Wotton family securing a final sale price of $780,000, banking them a profit of $99,284.

It’s an impressive start to the competition with the Wotton family adding 14.59% of value to their property.

Originally from Hamilton and Tauranga, the Wottons have spent the past 9 weeks turning the tired and dated three bedroom house they purchased in Henderson, Auckland into a stunning and contemporary family home.

TVNZ Head of Content Jeff Latch is thrilled the family’s commitment to the show has paid off.

“All the families have worked incredibly hard throughout the competition and the renovation of their homes and it’s great to see the Wotton family have reaped the rewards of their efforts. It’s an impressive start to Our First Home’s Live Auction Week with the Wottons setting the benchmark high for the other families.”

The Wotton family are thrilled with the result and optimistic about what this means for the future.

Josh Tingey says: “We’re really happy to have been part of this journey and achieved what we set out to do at the start. To have it turn out like it has is a dream come true as it opens so many doors and opportunities for Bex and I in the future. It’s going to be a hard decision as to what we do now.”

The family who makes the biggest percentage gain at auction will take home $100,000 prize for their kid’s first house deposit.
